Museum of Modern Olympic Games

In Olympia, under the care of the Hellenic Olympic Committee, the Museum of the Modern Olympic Games operates following a proposal by G. Papastefanou. The Museum exhibits rare objects related to the modern Olympics, such as Olympic coins, Olympic medals, Olympic medals, torches used to carry the Olympic flame and rich photographic material. Characteristic is the presentation of each Olympiad that has taken place and is accompanied by relevant posters, photographs, lists of Olympians, various documents, medals, etc.

The “treasure” of the Museum, however, is the famous and unique stamp collection of the Museum’s founder, C. Papastefanou, the famous and unique stamp collection of the founder of the museum. The collection is dedicated to the modern Olympic Games of the last 100 years and is accompanied by informative microfilms.
